Tee Ball and Developmental
Tee Ball is an introduction to the game. Teams will bat through the lineup each inning and games will be 1 hour long.
Players will face a soft toss machine for three strikes. If they are unable to hit the ball, they will be allowed to use a tee to hit the ball. This will introduce the concept of hitting a moving ball, while reinforcing the fundamentals of a proper swing.
The 4 year old Developmental Program is structured to introduce players to the skills required to play the game. Parent participation is required as the goal of this program is to inform and help you with your child's skill development so they can have more fun playing the game.
The 3 week clinic style program will focus on throwing, catching & swing mechanics and will culminate with a t-ball style game. Players must be accompanied by a parent/guardian .
Ages
Eligible Boys and Girls are at least 5 years old as of May 1st of the current year for Tee Ball.
For our 4 Year Old Developmental Program, players must be 4 years old as of May 1st of the current year.
When
Tee Ball season starts in early April and wraps up in early June.
The 4 Year Old Developmental Program is a 3 week clinic that starts in mid to late May.
Where
LYBSA Fields at Kohn Sports Complex
4 Year Old Developmental Program will hold clinics in the LYBSA Indoor Facility but play a game on the Tee Ball field to wrap up their clinic.
Practices
For Tee Ball, practices start in early April. Games will start in early May.
Games
Tee Ball teams will play 10 - 12 games per season, usually 1 to 2 games per week on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday.
NOTE: Wednesday or Friday games may be added in an attempt to make up games cancelled due to weather.
Jerseys
For Tee Ball, shirts and hats will be issued through LYBSA.
4 Year Old Developmental participants will receive a shirt.
Please indicate your players correct shirt size when registering.
